HAPPY THREADS
Stitch your future!
REFLECTIONS
As we step into a new year full of promise, we are thrilled to share our plans for the expansion of Happy Threads. Over the past three years, this initiative has successfully trained 90+ women in – Kolaghat- rural Bengal, transforming lives through skill development and livelihood creation, while making them fully independent of Nirdhan’s interventions. This year, we aim to scale our impact further by setting up new training unit in Sundia, reaching even more women in need.
THE VISION FOR 2025
Our plan is to train 40 women every year in Sundia. Here’s how:
• Batch Structure: Each center will train 12 women per batch over a 4-month program.
• Annual Schedule: We will conduct 3 batches annually.
• Skill Enhancement: The training will focus on both foundational tailoring skills and advanced techniques to prepare women for diverse livelihood opportunities.
THE ASK
To make this vision a reality, we are seeking a CSR investment of 4.5 Lakhs for a period of 1 year for a single location. This will fund the setup and operation of these units, including:
• Sewing machines, materials, and supplies.
• Instructors and operational logistics.
• Training and supplies for 40 women.
THE IMPACT
By partnering with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating lasting change:
Economic Empowerment:
40 women will gain the skills and confidence to earn a sustainable income, transforming their lives and uplifting their families.
Community Ripple Effect:
Each trained woman becomes a beacon of hope, inspiring others in her community.
Scalable Model:
Your support will not only impact these 40 women but will help us refine and replicate this model across other underserved regions.

OUR TOOLKIT
The toolkit includes a sewing machine, essential materials, and comprehensive 4-month training, equipping women with the skills and resources needed to kickstart their sewing journey and build sustainable livelihoods.
